TEEM’s Annual Community Luncheon

Each year, TEEM invites the community to celebrate the success of our participants and honor those who have helped make our mission possible. This year, more than 350 attendees participated in TEEM’s annual luncheon to help change lives and make a difference in the Oklahoma City area! It is incredible to come together and recognize the accomplishments of the participants we serve.

2019 Leadership In Transformation Award Recipient

At the luncheon, Patrick Rooney was honored with the 2019 Leadership In Transformation Award. Mr. Rooney, originally from Muskogee, Okla., is a life-long community banker who is currently Chairman and controlling shareholder of First National Bank of Oklahoma. He serves as Chairman of the board at TEEM, NewView Oklahoma and OSLA.

Patrick Rooney has been assisting TEEM and ensuring its success for over 20 years. He embraced the opportunity to effectively assist justice involved individuals and is a champion of our mission. TEEM continues to thrive because of his leadership and guidance.

Pat and his wife, Marianne, have three sons, Patrick, Turner and Matthew, three wonderful daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. His contributions to the OKC community are invaluable, and we are so honored that he is a member of the TEEM family.

A Very Special Thank You

This event would not have been possible without the help of Judy Love! Judy is a previous recipient of the Leadership In Transformation Award and continues to bless TEEM with selfless support. Her dedication and passion within the community are unparalleled.

She and her husband, Tom, have been faithful supporters of TEEM and its mission for several years and have helped change countless lives. Once TEEM’s capital campaign renovations are complete, the newly remodeled building will be named in honor of Margaret Love, Tom’s mother.

Thank you so much, Judy, for your continued support and passion for making a difference!

A Bright Light at TEEM

Jimmie Johnson has been an outstanding TEEM participant since June of 2018. Mr. Johnson was originally charged in 2014 for a drug offense and sentenced to serve time in Oklahoma state prison.

Because of his positive attitude, hard work, and dedication, Mr. Johnson will be released from incarceration this month after serving 5 years. Mr. Johnson is a father of two beautiful children, whom he is overjoyed to reconnect with once he is released.

He is a successful sous chef at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, and his commitment to give back to his community post-release is nothing short of inspirational.

We are so proud of Jimmie and cannot wait to see what the future holds for him!
